Rani Mukherjee, Preity Zinta spotted in a new dress up and Attitude!: Bollywood actresses Rani Mukherjee and Preity Zinta seem to be in the mood of some change in their lives! During the recently held Filmfare Awards, Rani was spotted in a purple western dress and Preity Zinta was spotted in a typical Indian sari designed by Manish Malhotra. This goes totally against the usual image of the two actresses.

We have always seen Rani preferring sari for various award functions whereas Preity was fond of her gowns and other western attires. However, the duo seems to have exchanged their dressing style. It was not the only thing that duo exchanged as they were also seen exchanging their attitudes! Rani, who was earlier known for her privacy and less media friendly attitude, has become a bubbly girl spreading her charm all over.

But, Preity’s dimpled smile was missing somewhere and was maintaining a low profile. Speaking about her expertise with sari, Preity said that it took her only five minutes to put on it. It seems that the absence from big screen and the IPL saga has taken a toll on Preity.

On the other hand, Rani has found a new hope with the success of her latest release No One Killed Jessica. The 32-year old actress impressed everyone with her newfound charming personality beating the entrepreneur Preity Zinta.

Preity Zinta creating awareness on World AIDS Day

Preity Zinta creating awareness on World AIDS Day: Today is World AIDS Day, and Bollywood actress and UNAIDS goodwill ambassador Preity Zinta is not staying idle or shooting films. In face, she is doing all she could to stop the spread of the pandemic by creating awareness.

“On World Aids Day, I want to appeal to you all today not to fear HIV. Just be safe, use protection and do not stigmatize people living with HIV,” Preity wrote on her Twitter page.

The actress is particularly upset on the transmission of HIV from mother to children, as she thinks it could be stopped. “Mother-2-child transmission of HIV really upsets me. We should be able to protect every child from HIV! Less ignorance and more awareness is needed!,” she said.

The actress also went on to say that AIDS is treatable and that over three lakh Indians are receiving free treatment. She pleaded the public not to discriminate the HIV patients.

The Joint United Nations Programme on HIV and AIDS, or UNAIDS reported that about 33.3 million people were infected with HIV, including 2.5 million children, in 2009. The UN also reported that India has about 2.3 million people infected with HIV.

Shilpa Shetty, Preity Zinta's IPL teams terminated: Shattered, shocked and still absorbing it! The Rajasthan Royals co-owner Shilpa Shetty and Punjab Kings XI co-owner Preity Zinta are still under shock and don’t know how to react to the termination of their respective IPL teams.

The two teams came under scanner because of the breach in their IPL contracts. As a daily reports, on Sunday, the BCCI, after its meeting with the IPL governing council, announced that the two franchises’ contracts were being terminated with immediate effect for violating shareholding and ownership patterns.

The actresses are ready to take the case to the court. Shilpa tweets about this decision, “This is for all those who want my reaction ‘Honestly too shocked to react, just disheartened... cause it’s more than just a team for us! Still havn’t received the termination, will react after. Need to know the basis of this decision.’ In London now (sic).”

While Preity writes on Twitter, “Still absorbing the News! After working so hard in the IPL & putting my everything building this team dis is not what I expected! Shocked !”
It’s believed that the suspended former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi has had financial interest in both the teams. The two teams were also allegedly benefitted because of the Modi connection.

After hearing about the decision, Rajasthan Royals captain, Shane Warne, hopes that BCCI would come to their ‘senses’.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, and Preity Zinta Hot News: What can be more alluring, than having the three most sizzling divas of bollywood, namely, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor and Preity Zinta, sharing screen space for a daring subject, in a movie?

Well, perhaps nothing. That is exactly what is up in director Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s intelligent mind. So, the director is reportedly planning to get the three of them together for a very daring subject, which is the Red light area of Lahore, in a movie titled ‘Heera Mandi’.

Reflecting back on the days bygone, I recall that we have done some healthy debates on which Bollywood actress has the most luscious lips or who has got the best body or who has the best curves? Let’s sit back and ponder over the grave issue of which actress has got the yummiest back.

1. Aishwarya Rai- The 36-year old lady has featured in most of our lists as she is the epitome of perfect beauty. Be it the charm of her flawless face or the magic of her hypnotic eyes, she has fans drooling over her. And if you want to see her back from close range, watch the Bengali film ‘Chokher Bali’ in which she is draped in only a traditional Bengali sari without any blouse.

2. Priyanka Chopra- This dusky brunette surely turned the male pulse racing when she donned that golden bikini in ‘Dostana’ and we have also seen her in many a backless numbers. No doubt, her back is as inviting as her front.

3. Kareena Kapoor- This belle has done those backless scenes in numerous films, the latest being ‘Kurbaan’ whose poster ran into controversy for showing her naked back clung to Saif Ali Khan’s bare chest. Bollywood Actress Preity Zinta Brand Ambassador for UN AIDS!

It was on Thursday, the 11th of March, that the UNAIDS, officially appointed actress and IPL franchisee, Preity Zinta as their Brand Ambassador. The actress in turn has promised to make sure that her IPL team, Kings eleven Punjab would leave no stone unturned to spread awareness of HIV/AIDS amongst the spectators and viewers.

There is a schedule that has to be followed by her team. On the day of the first match between Kings Eleven Punjab and Delhi Dare Devils, an HIV positive person would accompany the captain of Preity’s team for the Toss ritual. Besides that, all the players would wear a red ribbon on their jerseys to mark the Awareness of the positive syndrome.

There are plans to make a film too, so as to spread the awareness. The short film would be like a documentary with the captain of the Kings Eleven Punjab Kumar Sangakara, Preity Zinta, and Yuvraj Singh who is the main batsman of Preity’s team.

Preity is the only bollywood star to have been appointed as the Brand Ambassador. The other personalities who have already endorsed the UNAIDS foundation are Hollywood actor Naomi Watts, German footballer Michael Ballack, and last but not the least, Pakistani singer Salman Ahmed.The good cause of this campaign is going to be spread in a vast number of audiences, considering the kind of popularity that IPL has already gained.

Preity Zinta indicated that was not averse to joining politics.

Bollywood Actress Preity Zinta praised the Women's Reservation Bill on Thursday, saying it will reduce discrimination and bias against women - and indicated that was not Againts to joining politics.

"This (the bill) provides an incredible opportunity to women. We have women in important position. Our president (Pratibha Patil) is a woman. Sonia Gandhi is there.

There will be more woman in our parliament," the actor told reporters in New Delhi on the sidelines of a health event organised by UNAIDS.

Amid pandemonium, the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday passed the Women's Reservation Bill. It will now have to be passed by the Lok Sabha before it goes to the president for her assent to become a law. Once enacted, it will reserve 33 per cent seats in the Lok Sabha and state legislatures for women.

"Once the bill is passed, it will provide a new chapter. We hope the bill is passed (by the Lok Sabha) smoothly," she added.

Asked whether she planned to join politics, a smiling Preity did not rule out the possibility. "I am not saying never," she added.

Preity Zinta in the middle of property dispute

This is something that usually happens only in a Bollywood film. But, this time round, it's happening in real life and how. Ironically, the people involved in this are the B-town residents. We are talking about the family of legendary late Kamaal Amrohi, which is in news due to their property dispute that's worth over a staggering Rs.600 crore!

Shandar, one of Kamaal Amrohi's three children, has now filed a case against his sister Rukhsar and brother Wasim stating that they have falsely pledged his shares in 'Mahal Pictures Pvt Ltd' (that owns the famous Kamaal Amrohi studio), to a company in Pune.

As he was struggling his way through the cops to file a complaint, entered Preity Zinta, his 'adopted' daughter (who, of late has been tweeting about how difficult it is to file an FIR these days), who offered to shoulder his cause ahead.

For starters, Shandar always took Preity Zinta as his daughter ever since he saw her films. No wonder then, he had announced that he would pass on all his property to Preity. Shandar, on his part, opined that he is battling not for money but for justice and that Preity is helping him fight it, despite strong opposition from the other family members.
