In no time, Salman got a new name for Bollywood, suggested by one of his followers.

“Just got a super tweet saying that it (Bollywood) should be called Hi Fi, which stands for Hindi Film Industry,” Salman wrote.

Hi Fi? Not bad.

Salman Khan On Twitter: ‘Bollywood’ Koi Naam Hai Kya? Disgusting

Salman Khan On Twitter: ‘Bollywood’ Koi Naam Hai Kya? Disgusting: Indian film industry is known all over the world as ‘Bollywood’, but Salman Khan has a deep hatred for this name.
Often one hears Amitabh Bachchan crib about the name given to our film industry. According to him, the name Bollywood makes the Hindi film industry sound like a poor imitator of Hollywood. It’s a derogatory name, according to Big B.

Salman Khan doesn’t feel any different.

“Hate this bloody name, Bollywood. Koi naam hai kya? Disgusting,” Khan tweeted.

But Khan’s dislike for ‘Bollywood’ may not change things much as the name has already found a place even in the Oxford dictionary.

'Dabangg's Music Director Sajid-Wajid gives award credit to Salman Khan

'Dabangg's Music Director Sajid-Wajid gives award credit to Salman Khan: The composer duo Sajid-Wajid are on cloud nine after winning a series of awards for their music in last year's blockbuster " Dabangg" and the two give credit to Salman Khan for their success.

They bagged best music director awards at Star Screen Awards, Apsara Awards, Zee Cine Awards and Filmfare Awards for the funny cop drama in which Salman Khan played the lead role.

"I am on cloud nine and it's really fun. If we have worked hard, god has acknowledged it. Out of 101 percent, I would give 100 percent credit to Salman bhai and keep the rest with me for the success. Salman is like a godfather to us. When no one gave us a chance, he believed in us," Sajid told us in an interview.

Wajid said: "I give 100 percent credits to Salman Khan. He stood by us when nobody believed in us, he believed in our music, so certainly whatever we are today, a major part of the credit goes to him. If he had not been with us, our journey would have been more difficult."

The duo was introduced to Bollywood by actor-director-producer Sohail Khan with "Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya" in 1998 and since then they have given music for almost all Salman films and with "Dabangg" they have struck gold.

This film fetched Salman too his first award in the best actor category.

"No one can underrate Salman Khan. One's ability can't be measured by whether he is awarded or not. People make their position with their work; awards are just an extension of it. As a human being, Salman has garnered so many awards from normal people. As a human being he is far ahead," said Wajid.

As of now they are not associated with any Salman film, but they are sure to remain loyal to him.

"Certainly! We always look up to him. We are his loyalists and would always want to work with him," said Wajid.

Salman Khan cute tweets for Katrina Kaif!

Salman Khan cute tweets for Katrina Kaif!: The recent I-T raid at the house of the actress Katrina Kaif hasn’t gone down well with her ex beau Salman Khan.

Salman, who isn’t pleased with the Income Tax raid, thrashed the raids by tweeting, “right to raid...then we the right to question....then we have RTI .... Bataooo oh ho ho oh”. By writing this, he meant, if the officials have right to raid than we have right to question and also Right to information (RTI).

The actor who is back on twitter after a hiatus had to say a lot about the raids, but as Salman is not that expressive; words definitely fall short for him. He then tweeted to urge others to react about it, “Aur ek insaan batao jo mere baat se dis agree karega ...chekho chillao, kuch karo…” Next tweet, “ Darr gaye kya? Or am I wrong? Must b thn! Vil jst keep it acting n movie's. y own frnd don't want me to tweet. So good nite…”

We can understand the actor’s frustration; it was a matter related to Katrina who is still a very good friend of Salman.

Salman Khan to play a negative role in Mr. India Sequel

Salman Khan to play a negative role in Mr. India Sequel: It has been a long time when the rumour about the sequel of 1987 hit film Mr India started. But nothing solid has come out of these gossips yet. This has irritated not only the fans but also the star of the film Anil Kapoor, who is still remembered for that role played by him.

Recently, the 51 year old star said that the project should be started as soon as possible rather than talking about it so much. Anil added that people have talked a lot about the sequel about the film and there is nothing left to talk about it now. He said that the project is yet blank and it should be started now.

However, the latest reports suggest a new development about the sequel that indicates the Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is expected to play villain in this film. It seems that the negative effect of his character in Dabangg has made him a hot choice for the role of villain. People loved his Chulbul Pandey act, which was quite mischievous.

On the other hand, Anil will return with his ‘bhabhi’ Sri Devi as the lead pair, which rocked the industry in the 1980s. Anil’s elder brother and Sri Devi’s husband Boney Kapoor is all set take the producer’s seat. Boney has plans to shoot the sequel in 3D.

If the star casts remain the same and it comes out in 3D, we can expect yet another hit from Anil Kapoor and Sri Devi!

Salman Khan to teach Aamir Khan for Dhobi Ghat!

Salman Khan to teach Aamir Khan for Dhobi Ghat!: To play his character in Dhobi Ghat, Aamir Khan became a shishya of Salman Khan for a few weeks and diligently learnt from him how to create paintings.

It’s no secret that Salman is a terrific painter, even though the star downplays that talent of his. So when Aamir bagged the role of a painter in wife Kiran Rao’s film Dhobi Ghat, he turned to his good friend Salman for help.

Being the perfectionist that he is, Aamir wasn’t going to settle for a tacky portrayal of a painter. He wanted to learn the fine points of painting. And Salman more than willingly helped Aamir with that. For a few weeks he was Aamir’s art guru and Aamir his diligent student.

We hear that as guru dakshina, Aamir gave Salman a painting made by him. It’s an abstract painting with imaginative use of colours.

Salman has reportedly loved Aamir’s painting and has hung it in his bar, even though he’s off the bottle nowadays.

Salman Khan is back again on Twitter

Salman Khan is back again on Twitter: when Salman Khan flew to Dubai to celebrate his birthday and usher the New Year in december last year, he took a sabbatical from Twitter.
Well, about three weeks passed by and Salman did not tweet, indicating that like Aamir Khan, he, too, had lost interest in social networking. But no! Sallu’s now back and that too with a humour typical of him.

“Arre koi hai ? Itna sannata kyun hai bhai?” Salman tweeted, adding the reason why he hasn’t been tweeting lately.

“Pass word bhool gaya tha , badam khaya toh yaad ah gaya,” he posted.

Lol.

‘My Love Story’ Movie Stills: Salman Khan-Kareena Kapoor’s next film

My Love Story’ Movie Stills: Salman Khan-Kareena Kapoor’s next film: Salman Khan is on a roll. He has started working on his brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri’s home production My Love Story and is paired opposite style diva Kareena Kapoor. The movie is a romantic comedy but takes an emotional turn in the end.
My Love Story is the remake of the hit 2010 Malayalam film Bodyguard starring Dileep and Nayantara. In fact, its Tamil remake Kaavalan with Vijay and Asin, which got released last Friday, is getting an overwhelming response from the audience as well as critics.

We hope that the Hindi remake with Salman and Kareena will also prove to be a great family entertainer like the original. Though Salman-Kareena can’t be called a hit on-screen pair, Atul was convinced to sign Kareena because the heroine of the film has a bubbly persona. So, who else than the chirpy Bebo?
So friends, 'My Love Story'  is most eagerly awaited film of Salman Khan, do you agree with this?

Tit for Tat from Hrithik Roshan to Salman Khan

Tit  for Tat from Hrithik Roshan to Salman Khan: Now, this squabble keeps rolling up again and again. After making peace with Salman Khan recently, Hrithik Roshan has taken a fresh potshot at the superstar.

It all started with Salman’s allegedly derogatory comment on Hrithik’s film Guzaarish (Sallu apparently mocked that not even a machchar went to see the film), with Hrithik riposting that success should make a star (Salman, in this case) humble rather than cocky, a comment that clearly did not go down well with Salman.

The two hugged and patched up at Sohail Khan’s birthday bash but Salman later called Hrithik - quite condescendingly at that - “a child”.

In response Hrithik laughed off Sallu’s barb but is now reportedly to have sniped at him while appearing on Koffee With Karan.

Talking about Salman, Hrithik is reported to have told Karan: “Salman thinks that the world is conspiring against him, but that's not true. We all love him... I don't want to use this as a medium to comment on Salman.”

Also, it’s no secret that Hrithik has been bonding big time with Shahrukh Khan, whom Sallu regards as a foe despite the former sending feelers of reconciliation.

Salman Khan to abstain from alcohol!

Salman Khan to abstain from alcohol!: Salman Khan is keeping off his favourite tipple nowadays. The Bacchus bhakt is turning teetotaller.

Known to always enjoy his drink, Salman is going to abstain from alcohol because he’s all set to develop six pack abs for his role in brother-in-law Atul Agnihotri’s film My Love Story.

We hear that Salman’s clean days began since his birthday on December 27. Now, he’s hitting the gym with vengeance to get rid of all the flab he accumulated since Dabangg. The carefree lifestyle of alcoholic indulgence has taken its toll on the 45-year-old actor and now’s the time to undo the damage.

Just like Aamir Khan took almost a year to become the sinewy beefcake for Ghajini, Salman will pump the iron for his role in My Love Story, a Hindi remake of the hit Malayalam film Bodyguard.

Since the making of My Love Story is going to take a good part of 2011, it would well be a clean year for Salman. Will he take to the bottle after that? We hope not!

Salman Khan not excite to get awards anymore?

Salman Khan not excite to get awards anymore?: An actor awaits the moment when he can bag the best actor trophy and deliver an award acceptance speech that evokes thunderous applause. But not Salman Khan.

In the last few days the superstar has been sweeping Best Actor awards for his performance in Dabangg.

First, he won the Star Screen Award, followed by the Apsara Award. But guess what? He did not go on stage to accept any of these awards personally, even though he came to the show, recorded his dance performance, and went back as soon as his job was done.

Enough to lead one to a conclusion that perhaps Salman bhai isn’t excited about winning the awards anymore. His good friend Aamir Khan already mocks these award shows as sham and boycotts them all without exception.

Now, is Salman beginning to feel the same?

What will happen to the award shows if he indeed has.

Katrina Kaif: No talking about Salman Khan

Katrina Kaif: No talking about Salman Khan: Though Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan didn’t exactly live up to the hype it generated, Katrina Kaif has walked away with accolades for pirouetting seductively to Sheila ki jawani...

She also remains unaffected by all the speculation by the media about her ‘on and off’ relationship with Salman Khan. “It’s a part of life.

Salman and I both are actors so the speculation will continue. I have to maintain my dignity,” says the actor.

Considered to be one of the top female actors in the industry, Kaif has a lot to look forward to this year — Karan Johar’s Dostana 2, Zoya Akhtar’s Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara where she is paired opposite Hrithik Roshan, Yashraj Film’s Mere Brother Ki Shaadi with Imran Khan and Rajkumar Santoshi’s next with Abhishek Bachchan. However, she wouldn’t say she has had it all easy.

She stayed strong when detractors wrote her off. They said she wouldn’t become a successful actor, as she couldn’t speak Hindi. “It doesn’t bother me,” says Kaif, adding, “Hindi is my second language, English, the first. It’s wonderful to see that the audience has supported me despite my accented Hindi.”

Kaif had to take on a lot of pressure when she first entered the industry. She was constantly judged and her talent, questioned. “Everything in life has a good and bad side. No matter which industry you are in, or what position you are at, it’s all about the approach you have towards life. It’s something that I constantly work on. There are months where I battle things myself, but I correct my approach and make it consciously positive so that I see the good in life.” Even though her co-star from Mere Brother Ki Shaadi, Imran Khan, voted her lower on the acting scale on Koffee With Karan, she took it in her stride: “God bless him.”

She also recently received the Hindustan Times Reader’s Choice Awards for the ‘Best Entertainer of the Year’. “I thank the audience for their support. I wouldn’t be where I am today without their love and encouragement. It means a lot to me. Feels great to be getting it along side Shah Rukh Khan.”

Salman Khan do not remembering Zarine Khan!

Salman Khan do not remembering Zarine Khan!: After sharing screen space with Salman Khan in Veer, actress Zarine Khan has not bagged many plum offers. She is now thinking of signing a new project by a first-time director.

Last year she was in the news for her first film Veer and for her facial resemblance to Katrina Kaif; but with the Veer debacle her newfound fame waned. Now, the question arises, has Salman Khan, who discovered her, has forgotten the lady? He is the star who is known in the industry to promote the struggling actors and actresses and help them get work.

It was rumoured that Zarine will again work with Salman in Sajid Nadiadwala’s next film Kick, but now Sonakshi Sinha, who made her debut with Dabangg, is the leading lady of the film. As Zarine tells a tabloid, “Dabangg was the biggest hit of the year while Veer did not do well. So the scenario changes completely.”

Zarine claims that after Veer she was offered various films but couldn’t make up her mind. Now, she has read the script of a movie titled Cocaine and has liked it. She might sign it. The movie will be directed by the first-time director Guru Sharma, cousin of music director of Saawariya, Monty Sharma.

The actress has even shed extra kilos now, which she gained for Veer, and is starting afresh in Bollywood.

Yash Raj wants Salman Khan

Yash Raj wants Salman Khan: Salman Khan hasn’t worked in any Yash Raj film till now and the New York director Kabir Khan wants to change that.

It’s learnt that after seeing the huge success of Dabangg, director Kabir Khan became very eager to work with Sallu in his next which is going to be a romantic drama. As a tabloid reports Yash Raj scion Aditya Chopra too is sending out feelers to Salman for the film.

Everyone knows that Yash Raj’s blue-eyed boy is Shahrukh Khan, who has also given some of the mega hits to the banner. In the past, whenever talks were on between YRF and Salman for any project, things couldn’t materialize.

YRF hasn’t denied that the production house is in talks with stars for various upcoming projects. Kabir was initially interested in John Abraham for the role but now he has made up his mind for Salman.

Let’s see, whether the director can make this happen or not.

Apsara Awards: Salman Khan 'best actor' & Dabangg best film!

Apsara Awards: Salman Khan 'best actor' & Dabangg best film!: Bollywood star Salman Khan Tuesday triumphed at the 6th edition of the Chevrolet Apsara Film & Television Producers Guild Awards by bagging the best actor prize for hit comedy Dabangg, which was declared the best film.

Dabangg, released last year, was Arbaaz Khan's first film of the year and became the biggest box office grosser at the box office. Karan Johar got the best director award for My Name Is Khan. Set in a tumultuous post 9/11 America, the film starred Shah Rukh Khan as a Aspergers syndrome patient who sets out on a journey to prove that every Khan is not a terrorist.

In the best actress category there was a tie between Vidya Balan and Anushka Sharma - while the former was awarded for her stupendous performance in critically acclaimed Ishqiya, the latter was honoured for her role in the successful film Band Baaja Baraat.
