Deepika Padukone to agree with Rajinikanth next film!: Deepika Padukone has ended her dilemma. Last week, the buzz had it that Deepika was approached for a film opposite Rajinikanth, but the actress was in two minds due to unavailability of dates. Guess what she opted for?

She decided to step out from the Housefull sequel opposite Akshay Kumar. Deeps thinks the bargain is worth it, but now gossip mills are busy churning out the rumour that Akki is not happy with Deeps. However, the producer of Housefull, Sajid Nadiadwala apparently has no problem with her. As per sources, he understands Deepika’s professional decision.

Coming to the Rajnikant film, it’s titled Rana and will see the superstar in a triple role. It will be produced by Rajini’s daughter Saundarya Rajinikanth. Deepika has heard the script and liked it. So, things are going well for the film, unlike Robot (Endhiran), which was turned down by many actresses before Aishwarya Rai signed the film for a whopping amount.

Finally No Fight between Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone: Karan Johar should well be appointed the internal affairs conductor of the Hindi film industry. His party on Tuesday night was the ground for Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone to call it a truce.

After winning the Best Director statuette at Filmfare Awards a few days back, K-Jo threw a party on Tuesday night to which many Bollywood celebs, many of who were not on talking terms with each other, were invited. Katrina and Deepika were among them.

At the party, Deepika reportedly took the initiative and walked up to Katrina to end the chill that has been lingering between the two ever since Ranbir Kapoor broke up with Deepika unceremoniously and moved on to Katrina in 2009.

Reports say Deepika told Katrina that she, too, has moved on in life and is at a very happy space presently (courtesy Siddharth Mallya) and she wants to forget all the unsavoury things that happened between them in the past. Katrina was a bit taken aback by Deepika’s straightforwardness but responded with equally friendly attitude.

According to reports, Kat told Deepika: “I am very happy that you spoke to me. The load is off my chest.”

All this while, the onlookers gawked at the two ladies, who, in no time, were seen chatting amicably.

Deepika Padukone getting late for a Shooting!: A senior and maverick director like Prakash Jha wants to see some discipline from his cast. Shooting for Aarakshan in Bhopal, he apparently asked the movie’s lead actress Deepika Padukone to report on the sets on time.

This is the first time Deepika is working with Jha, and naturally the actress is new to his way of working. Jha is very punctual and likes to finish his shoot in time. But Deepika usually arrives late on the sets, so Jha had to ask her to sleep early in order to come early. In fact, as per reports, her co-star Saif Ali Khan, who plays a professor in the film, is also rarely on time.

“Deepika and Saif are invariably late for the shooting despite there not being many options for partying in Bhopal,” a source is quoted telling a daily. Deepika has understood what is expected from her, now the crew hopes for a smoother schedule.

Perhaps, they should take a cue from their co-star Amitabh Bachchan, who even after spending decades in the industry continues to be a well-disciplined actor. Big B, who plays a pivotal role in the film, is always on time.

Asin join the ‘Housefull 2’ team, Deepika Padukone Out: Deepika Padukone’s choc-a-bloc diary is posing problems for her. Producers can’t wait if she doesn’t have dates. So, instead of Deepika, Asin will be the new gal opposite Akshay Kumar in the sequel of Sajid Nadiadwala’s production Housefull.

Earlier, Asin had skipped the chance to work with Akshay in Priyadarshan’s comedy De Dana Dan. But this time, she is very much on board for Housefull 2 which is again going to be a comic caper. Sajid has confirmed her presence in the film.

As for Deepika, she might opt out of another Sajid Nadiadwala production Heer Ranjha which is pushed further because of her unavailability of dates. It’s heard that the makers are searching for another actress to step into the breach, in case Deepika can’t squeeze out dates for the film.

Right now, Deepika is working on Prakash Jha’s film Aarakshan and also has the multi-starrer Desi Boys.

The actress is in Bhopal to shoot for Prakash Jha’s next film Aarakshan. As Prakash likes to keep things very real, the shoot was in a college campus. Though the Om Shanti Om girl is a very confident actress, she started feeling uneasy after seeing a huge crowd gathered there to watch the shooting.

Deepika has never shot in Bhopal before and this is also her first time with a director like Prakash Jha. Things smoothened for Deepika only when Saif joined her for the latter half of the day for the shoot. “Deepika was much more comfortable when Saif came on set. He made her feel relaxed and put her at ease,” a source is quoted as saying.

Slowly and slowly the actress adjusted to the shoot in an alien place; later she also conversed with the college students.

Deepika Padukone have no more time to work with Rajinikanth!: One of the most sought after actresses in Bollywood has been approached for a film with the superstar Rajinikanth. But Deepika Padukone doesn’t have dates to work with Rajini.

What? Yes, the actress is in a fix as her date-diary is full till 2012. And since Deepika can’t let the rare opportunity of acting opposite Rajini Sir go by unclinched, she is reported to be making room in her date diary especially for the sultan of style from the south.

As a source is quoted by a tabloid, “Unfortunately, the producers of the film want to take it on floors this year and Deepika has her hands full…Now she is trying hard to adjust her dates so she doesn't miss out on a once in a lifetime opportunity to work with Rajnikanth.”

Deepika is currently busy with the multi-starrer Desi Boys, Aarakshan which also stars Amitabh Bachchan and a film opposite Saif Ali Khan to be directed by the maverick Being Cyrus fame director Homi Adajania.

Thus someone has kept Rajnikant waiting. This film will also see Rajini in double roles like Robot.

Deepika Padukone not interested to play in Shahid's 'Heer Ranjha'?: Producer Sajid Nadiadwala’s Heer Ranjha is unlikely to go on floors. As things stand today, the Shahid Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer is almost shelved.

Sabir Khan, who was supposed to direct Heer Ranjha is still working with Nadiadwala but on a different film, which will most probabbly have Shahid playing the lead but Deepika is not a part of this.

Rumour has it that Deepika was not too keen on acting in Heer Ranjha. Shall we assume she is not as friendly with Shahid as she was a few months ago?

A friend of Nadiadwala’s stood up for him and said, “Deepika was never in the project. Sajid is still doing Sabir’s film; he is reworking its script.”

In that case, why did Sabir tell a section of the media about Deepika being paired with Shahid in his film? Reportedly, Sabir had said, “I don’t think it really makes a difference if the leading lady is taller than the hero... any heroine, no matter how tall she is, is keen to work with Aamir Khan. Dippy (as Deepika is fondly called) has agreed to do the film. I think Shahid and she make a great pair. They’ve never been paired before.”

A source very close to the film confirmed and said, “Heer Ranjha is not happening, at least not with Shahid and Deepika together. Right now, Sabir is writing something new.”

Imran Khan's pre-wedding bash: Deepika Padukone attend the party: Bollywood heartthrob Imran Khan, who has kept his pre-wedding rituals a complete family affair, is expected to have his movie "Break-Ke Baad" co-star and friend actress Deepika Padukone to be part of the ceremony.

Imran is tying the knot with his childhood sweetheart Avantika Malik Jan 10.

"Being a Mehndi and Sangeet ceremony, it would be a complete family affair and no Bollywood actors are to be seen today (Saturday). Only Deepika, Imran's close friend, is expected to be part of the ceremony," said a statement by his publicist.

The family, which includes Imran's parents Anil Pal and Nuzhat Khan, uncle actor Aamir Khan with wife Kiran Rao and children Junaid and Ira, among others, would be present during the ceremony.

The ceremony would conclude with a night-long party, which would start at around 9 p.m.

Sounds good?...then this may sound even better; the movie is scripted by Imtiaz Ali and will be directed by the Being Cyrus fame Homi Adajania. Saif, who is producing the film under his banner Illuminati Films, was waiting for a script like this and as soon as it came to his table he didn’t take too long to finalize things.

As director Adajania is quoted as saying by a tabloid, “It’s a similar space from where Love Aaj Kal left off and then it roller-coasters from there.”

According to Saif, Imtiaz has given him a beautiful story. Deepika seems to be Saif’s natural choice for leading lady. She was Saif’s co-star in LAK, and as a couple they bring their own charm to the screen. But why not Kareena! Wasn’t she also eager to do a love story with her beau Saif?

The movie which will be shot in New Delhi, London and Spain is set in contemporary times and is about an urban couple just like LAK. It will reportedly go on floors in April 2011.

After Love Aaj Kal, we are sure Saif and Co. will not disappoint us.

The picture has Bipasha Basu in the female lead but Deepika has been roped into specialty in an unique music movie that ought be utilized simply for the support of the picture and won’t be a part of it.

However, the makers were initially zeroing in on Katrina Kaif and even the names of Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra were doing the rounds. In fact, Deepika was never in the contention. Papa Rishi Kapoor, who is also co-producing Ranbir's first world tour, is leaving no stone unturned to make it successful. It’s learnt that Kat was not completely comfortable with the idea of accompanying dishy Deeps on Ranbir’s first ever world tour, that too for a whole month. As Rishi Kapoor tells a tabloid, “Deepika wanted to come along. We didn’t want any stress behind the stage...We want it to go smoothly, no backstage jhik-jhik, please!”

The tour requires five female actresses to dance with Ranbir. Earlier, Deepika and also Sonam Kapoor were part of the tour, but not anymore. Sonam has backed out citing the reason that she doesn’t have enough dancing numbers to perform on stage, confirms Rishi.

Who are the other actresses in the tour? Ranbir’s co-star from Bachna Ae Haseeno, Bipasha Basu, Priyanka Chopra and Malaika Arora; decision on the fifth girl might take time. Singer Atif Aslam is also part of the tour.

The news is doing the rounds that Deepika and Katrina will act together in Housefull 2, a sequel to Housefull. It is said that Sajid Khan has roped in actors like Katrina Kaif, Paresh Rawal, John Abraham and Nana Patekar to join the original cast Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Arjun Rampal and Deepika Padukone.

However, director Sajid Khan said that he is still in the scripting stage and has confirmed only John Abraham, Akshay and Riteish for the film. He added that Deepika and Katrina are his friends but didn't give a clear picture if he is casting them in the film.

Well, it will be a treat to see Deepika and Katrina together on the big screens!

The dimpled south Indian lady said that Ranbir was low on sex-appeal and that she would gift him a pack of condoms, while the ‘Aisha’ star said that the Kapoor kid badly needed a stylist.

The two young women, who once could not stand each other, were seen teaming up on filmmaker Karan Johar’s celeb talk show ‘Koffee with Karan’ and the hot topic of discussion was the Kapoor lad.

Talking to a news daily, a source said, “The two girls who were said to be at loggerheads over Ranbir Kapoor till some time ago got along like a house on fire on Karan’s show.”

The two hotties of Bollywood used the talk show as a platform to subtly strike back at their one “ideal man”.

However, according to a source, the handsome hunk did not appreciate the comments made by his ex-flames as he thought they went overboard while discussing him on national television.

Revealing how disturbed Ranbir was after watching the show, the source said, “Ranbir is shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Rockstar’ in Delhi and his displeasure was very evident on the sets of the film. It did make for a fun watch, but it has definitely irked Ranbir.”
