Anjaana Anjaani - All is well at box office : Anjaana Anjaani box office update. Ranbir Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra’s latest film Anjaana Anjaani has opened well at box office. As it’s the first major Hindi film to release in three weeks since Salman Khan’s Dabangg, movie buffs thronged the theatres to watch the love story directed by Siddharth Anand.

From the latest reports that we are getting, the film has opened to 75 percent to 100 percent occupancy at many multiplexes in urban centres like Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata. However, in southern centres like Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai, the film saw less enthusiastic response because of Rajinikanth’s latest film Endhiran The Robot which is pulling most of the crowd downsouth.

Anjaana Anjaani has got mixed reviews from critics, with some hailing it as a finely crafted romantic movie, while others thrashing it as a senseless mushy drama. With the Robot (dubbed Hindi version) collection also likely to pick up in northern belt because of good reviews, Anjaana Anjaani has some tough competition coming from the 60-year-old superstar Rajinikanth.

"Yes!for all those asking..Me n Ranbir will be at Phoenix mills around 5or6 then we visiting lalbaug ka raja for aarti and his blessings.yay!" Priyanka tweeted yesterday.

Priyanka wore a green and red floral print salwar kameez with a floral embroidery dupatta loosely draped over her head during the aarti. She had a saffron tikka on her forehead and her palms were covered with the sticky paint usually used as tilak in the temples.

Ranbir wore a pistachio kurta and had a stubbled look.

The Anjaana Anjaani co-stars, accompanied by director Siddharth Anand, seemed to be having a good time even though surrounded by overwhelming number of people.

Priyanka gushed about her visit:

"Something I've been looking forward to the whole day... a visit to Lalbaugcha Raja. The atmosphere here is amazing and so are the crowds! Happy to have shared this with Ranbir and Sid, who were equally moved by the darshan," Priyanka told Mid-Day.

In the shoot Piggy Chops and Ranbir heated it up while they went under the cover in the bed as well as off it. Why Ranbir Kapoor wishes 'Anjaana Anjaani' release delayed?: On one hand, Ranbir Kapoor is busy promoting his upcoming film Anjaana Anjaani which is set for release on September 24 (next Friday). On the other, he is hoping for the film’s release to get postponed.

Why? Because September 24 is also the day when the Allahabad High Court will give its verdict on the Babri Masjid land dispute case. It’s a verdict of great importance and sensitivity and has already sent the UP state machinery gearing up for tightened security.

On a day when the people of India await the verdict on the long pending dispute and sentiments of certain community might flare up, Ranbir deems it unfit to release the film. He wants the film to release a day later.

“I don't wish to celebrate on a day when such a big decision is going to be announced,” Ranbir is quoted to have said in a media report.

However, Ranbir admits that there are too many people involved in the production and distribution of the film and therefore the release may not be postponed.

Priyanka, Ranbir disappeared from 'Anjaana Anjaani' set: Bonjour my blueberry cheesecakes! How do you do? I’m not exactly thrilled with this incessant baarish. After more than three days of constant downpour, I had hoped the clouds would take a break. But alas! I dread the thought of having to stay put in my penthouse for the rest of the week.

Before I digress any more on the weather woes, let’s get on to the natkhat nuggets from tinsel town.

For starters, Sher Lock Holmes wants to tell me about how Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor gave director Siddharth Raj Anand a scare while filming Anjaana Anjaani at Jean dry lake in the Nevada desert. Nah, they didn’t desert him in the registaan or the sukha lake, my dahlings.

Instead, they disappeared just before choreographer Ahmed Khan could call for action. Sher Lock bhai tells me that the two actors had seen some dirt bikes by the lake, and decided to indulge themselves. If that wasn’t enough, a few crew members also joined the lead stars on the other bikes.

Bechara Khan and Anand were on edge since the weather conditions were extreme and they had to wrap up the shoot before sunset.

At the insistence of Kapoor and Chopra, they also opted for a ride, albeit reluctantly, in the belief that they could get the actors to return to face the cameras soon.

Thank God for small mercies. The cast and crew were done with dirt biking just in time for Anand and Khan to resume shooting. Fortunately, they filmed the scheduled shots just before the sun went down. Phew!

The short and snappy teaser clearly indicates the fun mood of the film which is about two individuals played by Priyanka and Ranbir Kapoor. If viewers like Priyanka’s dresses and haircut, Ranbir as usual looks dashing in the promo. But what disappoints is the film’s first look, which is clearly taken from the last year’s Oscar nominee film An Education.

Nevertheless, director Sidharth Anand is a happy man. “It has just been a day since the teaser came out and the response has been fantastic. I was told that it is a much awaited movie this season but the instant feedback that I have received pretty much reaffirms the strong belief that we all had during the making of Anjaana Anjaani”, Siddharth is quoted as saying.
