Ranbir Kapoor's world tour postponed: All the hullaballoo about Ranbir Kapoor setting off on a grand musical world tour with a bevy of Bollywood beauties, including Katrina Kaif, has come to a naught.

For the Kapoor laddie, slated to trot the globe in summer this year, has now postponed the tour to 2012 despite several marquee names like Katrina, Bipasha Basu and Malaika Arora in the troupe.

The reason for the postponement of the tour, we hear, is that Ranbir feels he still doesn’t have enough ammo in his repertory of songs.

What he wants is to include the songs of his upcoming film Rockstar, by Imtiaz Ali, in the concerts. But that can’t be possible before the film’s release.

Remember the electrifying on-stage performances Farhan Akhtar and Arjun Rampal gave after the success of Rock On!? Ranbir, who plays a rockstar in Ali’s film, apparently wants to replicate the same magic, but for that he would have to wait until Rockstar hits the theatres later this year.

So, as things stand now, the much touted world tour of Ranbir has been postponed. It will happen in 2012.

As she is already confirmed for the event, getting Shahid for it would have meant some time together for the couple.

Since Shahid is a great stage performer because of his dancing skills, organizers did approach him for the show, but the actor can’t avail himself during that time and the reason is work. “Shahid is being repeatedly offered to be a part of the world tour with Ranbir. But due to his Mausam release and Sajid Khan’s film shoot he has declined the offer,” the actor’s spokesperson is quoted to have said.

Ranbir Kapoor’s world tour will travel to as many as sixteen nations including Europe and the Middle-East. The organizers of the show, the Moranis, also confirmed that they have approached Shahid, and are waiting for a nod from the actor. So, it’s too early to say whether Shahid is going to be part of the tour or not. Bollywood queen Katrina Kaif is also part of the tour along with Ranbir’s dad Rishi Kapoor.

PC is reportedly in talks with the organizers of Ranbir’s global tour to invite Shahid Kapoor as well. He’s her neighbour, her man of the moment.

Of late, the duo have started showing up together, leaving the media agog, but a confirmation from their side hasn’t been forthcoming. Recently, Priyanka was seen accompanying Shahid in his new Land Rover when they drove in to attend a Dabangg screening.

Now, as things have changed for better, Priyanka wants to be with Shahid and has also recommended his name to Ranbir for the world tour.

As a source is quoted as telling a tabloid, “She wants Shahid on the show.

That way they can spend time together.” It’s no secret that Shahid is a good dancer and is excellent when it comes to performing on stage.

Ranbir has apparently liked the idea of Shahid on the show but whether Shahid would agree to be part of the tour which belongs to Ranbir is yet to be seen.

The tour is planned for mid 2011 and will travel to about 16 nations around the world.

Ranbir Kapoor’s world concert tour starts in June 2011 and dad Rishi Kapoor will not only accompany him but also co-produce the event. And guess with whom the young star will scorch the stage - Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra.

Speculations were rife about Ranbir and his teen deviyaan - Katrina, Priyanka and his ex Deepika Padukone. Well, Katrina is already on for the world tour and so is desi gal Priyanka. However, Deepika is not yet signed up and Ranbir’s father says she is likely to be on board.

If you want to see the two super Kapoors sharing the same stage and dancing, your wish might get fulfilled as the producers are planning a retro section where Ranbir will shake a leg with his father Rishi. Confirming this bit of information, Rishi tells a tabloid, “We’re exploring the possibility of Ranbir and I coming together. But right now I can't tell you more on this.”

It isn’t easy to go live in front of millions of audience. Ranbir has waited for three years to finally face the audience. He has never performed in any award shows despite several lucrative offers. He will feature in a series of concerts to be held in different parts of Europe, America, Canada, UAE and South Africa.

How else can you explain the possibility of Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone sharing the same stage, even as Shahid Kapur shakes a leg with Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor in the same show?

Yet, that's what seems to be in store for all these current and former lovers. In July 2011, they are set to embark on Bollywood's biggest world tour in recent times. Put simply, it means Kareena would be touring with her ex- boyfriend Shahid while his current flame Priyanka will be there too.

Similarly, Deepika will probably set the stage on fire while ex- boyfriend Ranbir waits backstage. Not that he'd mind it. For Katrina, his reported ' close' friend these days, will keep him company.

"Ranbir, Deepika and Katrina have confirmed their participation. I'm sure Shahid, Priyanka and Kareena will also agree because they are good friends. We will reveal the details in October," says Ali Morani of Cineyug, the organisers of the event. The tour will take the stars to 16 cities across the world.

Shahid has been talking about the tour for some time. He said he would take it up only if the dates don't clash with the release of his father Pankaj Kapur's directorial debut, Mausam. But insiders say Shahid is likely to go on the tour since the Moranis are "very keen".

The organisers are keen on Shahid because he is a great dancer. Also, getting Ranbir and Shahid to perform together would be great for ticket sales. Getting the women who have featured in their love lives, of course, will be the icing on the cake.

By July next year, Ranbir will have had two major releases - Anjaana Anjaani, opening next week, and Imtiaz Ali's Rock Star. Shahid's Mausam is expected to release before July. Katrina's Tees Maar Khan, Kareena's Golmaal 3 and Priyanka's Saat Khoon Maaf will also be out by then.
