Deepika Padukone to agree with Rajinikanth next film!: Deepika Padukone has ended her dilemma. Last week, the buzz had it that Deepika was approached for a film opposite Rajinikanth, but the actress was in two minds due to unavailability of dates. Guess what she opted for?

She decided to step out from the Housefull sequel opposite Akshay Kumar. Deeps thinks the bargain is worth it, but now gossip mills are busy churning out the rumour that Akki is not happy with Deeps. However, the producer of Housefull, Sajid Nadiadwala apparently has no problem with her. As per sources, he understands Deepika’s professional decision.

Coming to the Rajnikant film, it’s titled Rana and will see the superstar in a triple role. It will be produced by Rajini’s daughter Saundarya Rajinikanth. Deepika has heard the script and liked it. So, things are going well for the film, unlike Robot (Endhiran), which was turned down by many actresses before Aishwarya Rai signed the film for a whopping amount.

Get ready for Three Rajinikanth in his next film Rana: Rajini fans the world over, will surely like this next piece of news. If you thought two Rajini's in Endhiran was a treat, then get ready for three Rajinikanth's in his next film titled Rana.

Scheduled to go on floor in March this year, the magnum opus Rana, will have Rajinikanth playing a triple role. The film will be directed by K S Ravikumar and co-produced by Eros International and Chennai based-Ocher Studios.

Rana will have music by A R Rahman and cinematography by Ratnavelu. Renowned visual effects luminary and an Emmy award winner, Charles Darby, will be the visual effects supervisor of the film.

Speaking on the development, Sunil Lulla, Managing Director, Eros International Media Ltd said, “Rajni fans will be treated to a triple role essayed by their favourite actor. Rana is going to be far different from any of the recent Rajni films, a complete live action magnum opus with loads of entertainment for his fans.”

Rana will be released in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu.

The buzz is that director Rohit Shetty, who made the last year’s hit Golmaal 3, is thinking of roping in Rajinikanth for his next film, which will be a comedy with a lot of action.

It is believed that Rohit is already in talks with the representatives of Rajini to convince the mega star to return to Bollywood after a gap of 11 years. Rajini’s last Hindi film was Bulandi in 2000.

However, before that he worked in the films like Giraftaar, Bewafai and Hum, among others.

Now, the question is: will the 61-year-old star make a return to the Hindi film industry. Well, that depends as much on his wish as on Rohit’s persuasion skills.

A chase sequence shot atop a train in Ra.One has startling similarity to the sequence in Endhiran The Robot when Rajini runs laterally on a moving train to save his ladylove from goons. Since the fans have enjoyed the chase sequence in Robot a lot, there are going to be obvious comparisons, and probably accusations of plagiarism, when they see SRK doing the same in Ra.One.

Further, the allegations would get credibility given the fact that director Shankar had first approached SRK for Robot and had even discussed the film in detail.

To avoid such allegations, SRK has given clear instructions to the creative team to make the chase sequence on the train in Ra.One as different as can be from the one in Robot.

But would SRK be able to outshine, if not match, Rajinikanth’s style?

Rajini is like a God for his fans: His ardent fans may have built temples in his name, but south mega star Rajinikanth remains a humble soul who doesn’t like being referred to as a God.

So when he saw the promo of the Hindi film Khichdi - The Movie in which he’s being compared to the Divinity, Rajini wasn’t pleased and asked his assistant to inquire about the use of his name in the promos.

J D Majethia, the producer of Khichdi was contacted by Rajini’s assistant in this regard. The producer told the superstar’s assistant that Rajini’s name has been used not in a derogatory sense. He said that the characters in Khichdi are so dim-witted that they think that Rajinikanth is the real God.

Though the issue is not being pursued by Rajinikanth, he clearly doesn’t enjoy being called a ‘God’.

Well, it’s this humility that makes him a rage among the masses.

The star is back in the show after a span of six years and the makers of ‘KBC 4’ are leaving no stone unturned to make it big and grand.

The south superstar and Big B’s good friend Rajinikanth is expected to attend the first gala episode.

Along with Big B’s family and Rajini, Indian cricket team’s skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni will also attend the first episode of India’s most celebrated game show. As per reports, the show will open with a song composed by Vishal-Shekhar and choreographed by Shiamak Davar. His dance troupe is especially in Mumbai for the performance. Big B will also dance to the tune of Pag-e-Ghungroo from his superhit film Namak Halal.

The show will start with Amitabh reciting a few lines from his legendary father Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s poem. He will make a grand entry from a 24-foot-tall structure which is in the form of a giant ‘A’.

A special set is erected at the Yash Raj Studios by the ace set designer Nitin Desai for the shoot of first episode.

Rajinikanth's robot is a Chellenge for Shahrukh Khan's Ra. One!: Shahrukh Khan, who is investing his time, money and passion in the sci-fi thriller and home production Ra.One, is on his toes these days. Why? Because of south superstar Rajinikanth’s mega hit Robot (Hindi) or Endhiran (Tamil) which has become a rage at the box office and bowled over the viewers with its out-of-world special effects.

Quite aware of the fact that there will be comparisons between Robot and Ra.One when the latter releases in 2011, SRK is eager to make his film more visually stunning than Robot.

We hear that a meeting was held on Sunday at SRK’s residence Mannat. The film’s director Anubhav Sinha, sound recordist Resul Pookutty and Shahrukh watched the rushes of Ra.One together and later locked in a brainstorming session over how to make the film better.

It’s being learnt that SRK is gunning for an unprecedented climax in Ra.One by making it an interactive gaming session for audiences. If the superstar manages to pull it off, it will be the first ever movie climax where the audiences get to decide the end by playing a game.

“Aishwarya looked smashing and danced like she had never danced before. Rajni...what can one say for this man. He is just unbelievable. The film is a roller-coaster ride of fun and ecstasy and events of mammoth proportions,” Amitabh posted on his blog.

Big B was also all praise for director Shankar’s vision in the film.

“Merely putting his thoughts on paper must have been an exercise so desirable for the director Shankar. What and how did he think up all these ideas for the script from his mind is reason to envy and lament,” he wrote.

The 67-year-old superstar urged all the fans of Rajinikanth to go and watch the film in theatres.

Endhiran Rajinikanth's Robot break all box office records: Robot - Endhiran box office update. Have you ever seen cine fans queuing up at 3am in the morning to catch the first day-first show of any superstar’s film? Have you ever seen the posters and billboards of any superstar being bathed with milk and then an aarti performed. Such is the Rajinikanth mania that’s gripped the mega star’s fans in Chennai.

Guess what? His latest film Endhiran The Robot was screened at 4 am on Friday morning at Rakki Cinemas. And that show ran to a packed house. The demand for the tickets has been so huge that multiplexes and single screen theatres across Chennai have added early morning shows to their schedules.

The tickets for the whole week have been sold out in advance at many theatres and even in Mumbai several shows are going house full. On top of all this Rajini hysteria, the rave reviews given by critics and the positive word of mouth will ensure more footfalls in the coming weeks and probably months.

According to trade analysts, the film is set to break all box office records by any Indian film. It is learnt to have been made at a whopping budget of Rs. 160 crores. Trade pundits believe that it will easily recover that cost and even make huge profits.

The fans who saw the film on Friday say it is the ‘best Rajinikanth film ever’. We learn that the fans were on their feet in the theatres during last half hour of the film. There were non-stop screams, claps, shouts and whistles as what is being described as the ‘mother of all climaxes’ unspooled on the screen.
