'Force' Movie First Look - John Abraham's power of muscle: John Abraham has a body to die for and that also makes the star just perfect for any action film, but the handsome boy of Bollywood was never seen in a hard-core action movie after his villainous act in Dhoom.

So, here is John for the first time showing his muscle power and eight packs in the movie Force which is produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah.

So what is John doing in the film? He plays an encounter specialist; check out the gun tucked in his jeans. The movie is the remake of the Tamil film Kakha Kakha and is directed by Nishikant Kamat of Mumbai Meri Jaan fame.

John says the movie is his first pan India film after a long gap, and it is not just the action which is good in the film, the romance is also beautiful. The movie’s main lead opposite John is the chirpy Genelia D'Souza.

The first look of the film that can easily remind many of Salman Khan’s action hit Wanted.

The thaw happened at Mehboob Studios where Salman had gone to meet Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt on the sets of Rohit Dhawan’s directorial debut Desi Boyz which also stars John Abraham, Deepika Padukone and Chitrangada Singh.

As Salman met with Akshay and Sanjay, he spotted John. From what he hear, John gave a disarming smile that made Salman smile back. The two walked toward each other, and to the surprise of everyone around, hugged.

This one gesture is all it took to end the long cold war that started more than four years ago during the ‘Rockstar’ concerts.

Legal advice or conviction for Monica Bedi but Breather for John Abraham: The bail of Bollywood actor John Abraham was extended on Monday in the rash driving case in which he was sentenced to 15-days’ imprisonment last month.

The sessions court in Mumbai extended the actor’s bail and adjourned the matter till November 17 in the case that dates back to the April of 2006 when John had an accident on his bike in which two cycle riders were injured.

John’s lawyer had filed an appeal against the conviction on October 29. Now, the court has given time to the prosecution to frame a reply to the appeal by John’s lawyer.

In another development, the Supreme Court on Tuesday upheld the conviction of the former actress Monica Bedi in the fake passport case. However, the apex court reduced the sentence to the imprisonment already undergone by the actress.

Monica has served two years and six months of imprisonment.

Bipasha basu shocked for John punishment

Bipasha basu shocked for John punishment: The 15-day jail sentence for actor John Abraham has shocked everyone close to him, and that includes his parents and girlfriend.

A day after the verdict, actress Bipasha Basu is still reeling under shock. "We'll go to a higher court to fight the verdict. We can't just accept it quietly. John has been treated unfairly," she said.

When the jail sentence was read out in the courtroom, Abraham went so pale that people around thought he would pass out. More than himself, he was concerned about what his God-fearing parents, who have never seen the inside of a police station or courtroom, would go through when they heard about the sentence for an offence that was committed so long ago that even the people closest to him had forgotten about it, a source said.

Basu, who was at a shoot, didn't hear of the verdict till late in the night. She said, "Can you believe it? My phone had stopped working on Thursday. We knew John was going into court, but thought the matter would be closed this time." While Abraham remains tight-lipped about the jail sentence, his friends are concerned about how he has taken the shocking news.

"More than himself, John's concern was for his family and for  youngsters who look up to him as a role model. He is not an irresponsible person. In fact, he's very conscious of his social responsibilities. It's unfair to
punish him for an incident in which he was hurt the most," Basu said.

"We'll fight this together. John is a good human being. I'm not saying this because I am his girlfriend. To his credit, he continued the promotional work for Jhootha Hi Sahi despite the shock," the actress said, breaking down.

"As an individual and   a citizen of this country, I can only say what I feel. And I have to say, with due respect to the legal system, that John doesn't deserve this. Just because he happens to be a star, he's an easy target.
The same offence committed by a non-celebrity would most likely be treated differently. Since he rides a bike, he's very careful about road rules. He doesn't allow any of his friends to drive out on a bike without a helmet. He doesn't bribe the cops, he pays his taxes... what is he being punished for?"

Close friend and director of his forthcoming film, Abbas Tyrewala said, "The best rumour I've heard recently is that John's predicament is a publicity stunt for our film. On Twitter, a woman asked me if AR Rahman's misadventure at the Commonwealth Games was a publicity stunt for  Jhootha Hi Sahi. All I can say is, have a heart, guys. Don't celebrities have feelings?"

John Abraham to serve 15 days jail!: Bollywood actor John Abraham  was today sentenced to serve 15 days in jail by a Bandra court in a case of rash and negligent driving dating back to year 2006.

In April 2006, the actor had rammed his motor bike into a cycle, injuring two people in the accident.

Today, the verdict was pronounced and the actor was sentenced a jail term of 15 days. However, the actor was granted bail from the court.

John is a lover of motor bikes and has always professed safe driving. He has said that the accident that occurred in 2006 was ‘unfortunate’.

The actor will now head to Kolkata for Durga puja. After that he will get busy promoting his film Jhootha Hi Sahi.

'Jhootha Hi Sahi' John Abraham’s new film now release on 22 October: The release of John Abraham’s upcoming film Jhootha Hi Sahi  has been postponed by a week. The film was earlier supposed to release on October 15. Now it will hit the theatres on October 22.

The reason for the delay is that its music director A R Rahman requires more time to work on the film’s background score.

Director Abbas Tyrewala, who had Rahman for his first film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, is willing to wait for Rahman to finish his work rather than release the film with tacky background score.

Producer Madhu Mantena confirmed the delay, saying, “It's true that we've decided to release Jhootha Hi Sahi on the 22nd of October instead of the 15th of October. It's only good, as we will utilise this extra time in promoting our film.”

The film has John pairing with Pakhi, who is the wife of director Abbas Tyrewala.

It is the story of Rahul Singh (John), how he goes from living an insignificant life to really living it. His girlfriend Nafisa (Sonal) is doting, loving and loyal. The film has a host of other characters like a fun-loving uncle (Girish Karnad), a caring sister Grace (Prateeksha Lonkar), a reformed prostitute (Farida Jalal) who hopes to leave her past behind and a ten-year-old notorious Govinda (Ashwin Chitale).

Aashayein is an inspiring, bittersweet fable that reminds the viewer that life is short and to make the best of it. Aashayein is, just as the title suggests, is a film about hopes. It teaches us to live life today and not tomorrow.

Aashayein has music by Salim-Sulaiman. The film is slated to release on August 27.
