Ranbir Kapoor thanks to Deepika Padukone, why?: Katrina Kaif’s rumoured boyfriend and Rajneeti co-star Ranbir Kapoor has conveyed his thanks to his ex flame Deepika Padukone. Even though, they have broken up after a mushy relationship, they continue to pass comments and share pleasantries via the media.

Now, only recently, Deepika had lashed out at him by stating that she would like to gift him a pack of condoms (all this transpired on the sets of Koffee with Karan). While, it is unclear if her remark was made in taunt or bonhomie, Ranbir has apparently taken it light heartedly and expressed his gratitude after humbly requesting the gift.

When the reporters reminded Ranbir of Deepika’s remark, he retorted back by citing, "I think she said a good thing. Our country should be aware of safe sex and condom is a means to that. And thank you for that.”

Ranbir even went on to put forth his heartfelt wishes and best of luck for her forthcoming film ‘Break ke Baad’. He even appreciated the peppy pairing of Deepika and Imran.

While, these exchange of words between the ex lovers may be shrouded with well-wrapped sarcasm, the tabloids are happy with these candid newbie after enduring the long-standing silence from the likes of Aishwarya Rai, Salman Khan and Vivek. Ditto about Shahid and Kareena.

When the actress heard the narration from director Danish Aslam, she was initially stunned and then in a dilemma whether to sign the film or not.

Deepika plays Aalia, a gal who is commitment phobic. Apparently, Ranbir too is known to stay away from commitment. When Deepika learnt about her character, it was déjà vu; and when it came to emotional scenes it was a bit difficult for her to shoot.

As a source tells a daily, “Knowingly or unknowingly, she has added some nuances to her character in the film that are straight out of her past love affair with Ranbir.”

Break Ke Baad promos are getting good response from the audience and Imran Khan-Deepika look promising as a lovey-dovey couple. The film, produced by Kunal Kohli, is releasing on 26 November.

Deepika Padukone celebrate Ranbir Kapoor's Birthday: Deepika Padukone is apparently harbouring no grouse against her ex boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. On the actor’s 28th birthday today, Deepika has wished him a very happy birthday and good luck for his upcoming film Anjaana Anjaani.

“Happy Birthday RK!! wishing u loads of happiness & success...and good luck with AA (Anjaana Anjaani)...:-)” Deepika posted on her twitter page.

However, Ranbir doesn’t have a twitter account. So it remains to be seen when and how he will get her message.

Meanwhile, Ranbir says his birthday gift this year is the release of his film Anjaana Anjaani with Priyanka Chopra. He added that he would be delighted if the audiences like his film.

Anjaana Anjaani releases on October 1.

Ranbir Kapoor has emerged as one of Bollywood's most popular male star overseas and the recent success of Rajneeti has created a market opportunity for a world tour.

Ranbir has featured with Katrina Kaif in Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and Rajneeti and Deepika Padukone in Bachna Ae Haseeno. He features with Priyanka Chopra in the forthcoming film Anjaana Anjaani due in theatres on September 24.

Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, besides having featured in recent films with Ranbir, are popular overseas in their own rights, with images that appeal to Indians abroad.

The organizers were keen to have Shahid Kapoor on board but Shahid said he will go only if tour dates don't conflict with the release of his father's directorial debut film Mausam.

The planned start date of tour will ensure that there is a large enough body of popular songs from Ranbir films on which the stars can perform.

The world tour will be Ranbir's first.

Produced by the Morani brothers, the 16 show tour will begin in the US followed by Canada and select cities in Europe. Later, it will continue to South Africa and other countries en route.

Minimum number of votes went to Akshay Kumar, who has worked with Deepika in two films (Chandni Chowk To China and House Full) and got only 12 percent votes.

Deepika and Ranbir made their acting debut on the same Friday when their respective films Om Shanti Om and Saawariya released in 2007. The two have worked together in only one film - Bachna Ae Haseeno. But unlike other ex lovers they are open to working together again.
