Deepika Padukone  looked demure in sparkling white kurta and skinny churidar at a media meet for her new film Lafangey Parindey at Yash Raj Studios in Andheri, Mumbai.

And no, she didn't have arm candy Siddhartha Mallya with her at the event. The lass is professional; she doesn't mix work with pleasure.

Deepika's embellished kurta had high collar and short sleeves. She had slung a white dupatta with sparkling borders around her neck.

She accessorized with white open toe flats, hoop earrings, and a watch in her left arm.

Her sleek straight hair was styled half up half down.

Dark brown lipstick and maroon nail polish rounded her ethnic look.

Deepika was accompanied to the event by her film co-star and new BFF, Neil Nitin Mukesh. The duo regaled the audience by cavorted to the beats of the film's track - Dhatad Dhatad, inviting members of the audience to join them on stage.

The dance was followed by Mumbai roadside food served in the spirit and ambiance of the film that has been shot on the streets of the metropolis.

The Pradeep Sarkar helmed film is due in theaters on August 20.
